The Management Committee closing meeting of the MyWave Cost Action was held in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering between 4^th and 6^th of July

The Management Committee (MC) closing meeting of the Cost Action CA 17115 - European network for advancing electromagnetic hyperthermic medical technologies (MyWave) was held in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Istanbul Technical University between 4^th and 6^th of July. MyWave Cost action focusses on the foundation research on characterization of dielectric properties of various tissues with respect to frequency, temperature and development of hyperthermic technologies. Additionally, this network focusses on commercialization of microwave medical technologies. The closing meeting was held with over 50 participants from 17 countries. A three-day meeting covered the activities of all three working groups with presentations focusing on the scientific progress and steps to consider during commercialization. The MC members of the MyWave Cost action Prof. Ibrahim AKDUMAN and Assoc. Prof. Tuba YILMAZ ABDOLSAHEB from the Department of the Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Istanbul Technical University organized the meeting along with the Chair of the Cost action Assoc. Prof. Lourdes FARRUGIA from the Faculty of Science at the University of Malta. The graduate students at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering also greatly contributed to the organization and presented their work during scientific presentations. The meeting allowed the interaction of ITU graduate students with the researchers from all over the world and showcase the cutting-edge research work performed in Medical Device Research, Development and Application laboratory at the Istanbul Technical University.
